  1. Sticky: Re: Ecotricity Electric Highway - Official Updates/Progress/Announcements

There is a photo somewhere of the managers of Nissan showing off the rapid charger and he puts the cable back wrong. That just about sums it up.

Is it a DL? Did they finally convert you from Nissan with that 2.8 0-60?

    Re: No SD card questions

I doubt that will work as I believe they are different for every Leaf due to having the VIN (or some identifying variable) used as the key to unlock the dash.

I do wonder how that Ebay seller got...

    Re: Chademo and Leaf

It depends on the set up of the unit, some only deliver 20kw, up to the unit at Kia HQ which can deliver 100kw.

I think the Leaf can take max 60kw, but I've only ever seen as high as 50kw on the...

    Re: ABS/B-Mode failure

You can search for it on here and you will find many people had it happen - and then when it happened to our second Leaf the guy at the dealer told us it's the main fail point of them and (his words)...

    Re: ABS/B-Mode failure

This seems to happen to every Leaf. It's a 4 figure warranty job.

What was your milage when it happened out of curiosity? Both our gen1s did it at around 40k.

    Re: Warrington to Middlesborough

That's pretty poor as they have known about the communication problem at that site for around 3 years. Yes, 3 years.

Re: Steepest gradient to use 'Park' only?

I was pointing out the error in your answer, that's all. There is no 'thump' on hills because it auto holds.

Re: Steepest gradient to use 'Park' only?

There is never a thump sound with the leaf as it has auto hill hold. I've never used the parking break.

They are BOTH down? Wow... seems the 'fix' ecotricity made on these units has made no difference at all.

    Did you phone them?

    Re: Warrington to Middlesborough

Yes it's a pretty straight forward uneventful journey which I've done a few times, just stop at the ecotricity points. You can reach Middlesbrough easily at 70mph from the Wetherby charger if you go...

Re: Summary of new chargers anywhere?

CYC are guilty of this with rapids, there are loads of rapids in south tyneside which are not on their map and have been there for months!

I had to use this forum to find them.
  14. Re: New longer range LEAF: 2016 LEAF 30 kWh delivers 155 mile range

The same people who were correct about the 30kwh battery are now saying the next Leaf will have a 48kwh battery around the same time as the Model3 from Tesla shows up.

    This 30k battery is just...
  15. Re: New longer range LEAF: 2016 LEAF 30 kWh delivers 155 mile range

I'm interested to see if the van/taxi Leaf will have this option. We would be interested in the van if it did as it probably means it will have a real world range of 80-90 miles which makes it much...
  16. Re: New longer range LEAF: 2016 LEAF 30 kWh delivers 155 mile range

They are also pretending the BYD and Tesla don't exist and speaking as if this is the biggest EV battery in the world!
  17. Re: New longer range LEAF: 2016 LEAF 30 kWh delivers 155 mile range

What's hilarious here is that the USA press release says the range is 107miles!

155miles FFS, stupid idiotic move there. Just list the real world range like they have to by law in the USA....

    Re: any news

It's the 2016 model. Some American dealers have confirmed and listed them on their sites.

It's only available on the top model (so the Tekna 6.6). It apparently does a real world 110miles. No word...

Re: Keep a firm grip on your wallet!

Also I'd go for the Tesla every time personally, it's something about the fact it does 0-60 in near silence which makes it...
